Andy Walker

Talk

Andy Walker is probably the most recognisable Casuals player to opponents, not only coz of his long blonde beautifully flowing hair but also as a result of the damage he causes defences. Andy, brother of fellow midfielder David, is another player to emerge from the youth ranks, playing for several years at Hesketh Casuals Colts before moving onto the fearsome Y.M.C.A. Andy represented Casuals at Third team level during the glorious Martin Howard years with Paul Hames before setting his stall at Stafford University. It was here where he met David Tomlinson and Andy Walkers Scout talent clearly had not left him since the 62nd group.

The pacey winger and striker has consistently scored goals throughout the four seasons Hesketh Casuals B have been in existence. Throughout the four years Andy has consistently been inconsistent with his availability, including one incident when he failed to inform anybody he had gone to Switzerland whilst his team were waiting for him to arrive. He spent 6 months travelling, purely on a talent finding mission but the only talent he could find was the ability to not respond to text messages!

Andy is an extremely valuable member of the side and is capable of winning games by himself. His fierce pace, exquisite touch, David Beckham like crosses and clinical finishes would guarentee Andy a place on Casuals Hall of Fame, if they had one. Andy collected the Managers Player of the Year award in their maiden season of 2004 and 2005, scoring a whopping 15 goals from midfield.
