After an early double by Leonard Bobby's looked to be cruising. The Alton pulled one back but Bobby's still looked comfortable and got a third courtesy of Stanton. They could have made it 4 but Tam MacFarlane's long range efforthit the bar. However, Bobby's took their foot of the pedal and fell asleep letting the Alton score twice to equalise before half time. This was Bobby's second league defeat in a row with enforced changes to the defence and it was a poor defensive display that lost Bobby's the game in the first half. In the second half a mistake by McNab (playing sweeper for the day) and a free kick put Bobby's 5-3 behind. John Stanton pulled one back and Bobby's pushed hard for the equaliser with Leonard, MacFarlane and Brown all coming close with free kicks. The Alton keeper made some good saves however and the away team took the points. This was a game that Bobby's Bar should have had wrapped up in the first half. They will have to keep focused if they want to win the final in 2 weeks time.
