19th July, 2008
11 AM and there were 8 men in blue on the pitch. Immediately the talk is about a defensive game. Despite being injured, Andy Fulton takes the field. Marvin Afriyie arrives and adds to the MASH unit of injured players. The game is on and Team Silver begin gong to work wearing down the Sacre Bleu resolve.
A break as Collin Thevanatkarunai is sprung down the right side and finds Drew Kellas at the far post! GOAL Sacre Bleu are up 1 -nil!
The lead wouldn't stand as Team Silver equalized in the confusion of the arrival of late players before the interval.
The second half started where the first half left off. Confusion leading to a 2nd Team Silver goal.
This is a point where some teams might have caved in. Further woes were added when Player Coach Cyprian Kebbianyor left the field due to injury. Down to only 11 bodies and not all at 100%, Les Bleus showed true grit. With 8 minutes to go Thevanatkarunai found his way down the field again and potted the equalizer.
Les Bleus found new energy and withstood the onslaught of the younger opponent's desperate drive to take all three points.
FT Sacre Bleu FC 2 - 2
