Sacre Bleu Club Officials met yesterday to discuss the club's direction. After a long session, Player/Coach, Andrew Kellas made the following announcements:
"We at Sacre Bleu are proud to announce our 1st ever Dinner Dance in support of the team. The Club directors have acknowledged our need for more equipment to produce a better field product. The Dance will take place at our home pub, The Victoria & Albert Pub II, on July 5th. Tickets are available from any team member at the rate of $25 per person".
"Secondly", Kellas continued, "we wanted to comment as to the confusion of late regarding our colours. We are pleased to report that the League has delivered our familiar light blue kits from a new supplier and we will no longer be in the red".
Player Manager, Marvin Afriyie then took the podium.
"Because of our recent difficulty in getting a proper practice field, our training sessions had been getting less productive and under-attended. We have studied the problem and accept that several of our team have Youth Football Commitments. This put them at a disadvantage for attending training sessions that are vital to our growth. In studying the problem of location, we have made a suitable change that will allow them to attend taining after their commitment for the evening. We are pleased to announce that Sacre Bleu FC will be returning to Jean Vanier High School for training sessions effective immediately. Sessions will continue to be held Tuesdays from 6:30PM until daylight is lost. Players should note that a 24 hour notice is now required if they are unable to attend".
Coach, Cyprian Kebbianyor, commented, "The new location works well for the players who are already there for Refereeing & Coaching. This team is on the verge of turning a corner in its development and can expect changes to begin to happen quickly now that we are all going to be working together".
Sacre Bleu Goal Keeper, Kofi Asem, summed it all up nicely. "With the changes we have set forth IT'S TIME FOR THIS TEAM TO WIN"!!!
Sacre Bleu FC play their 3rd league game on Saturday at Ashtonbee Park against United FC. Kickoff is at 2:30PM.
