Permits Force Team To Find New Digs

22nd May, 2008

City Issued Document Takes Away Training Facility

Sacre Blue FC were dealt a cruel hand by the Toronto District School Board yesterday when they arrived at their long time training facility, Sir William Osler High School, to find their field in use by an extreme frisbee team.

A quick inquiry revealed that the city school board had indeed given license to the new tenants for the use of the field. Alternate facilities were immediately given to the local football squad at Edgewood Public School.

The new facility is located at 230 Birkdale Road in Scarborough, near the intersection of Brimley and Ellesmere.

Coach Drew Kellas had this to say,"It's another example of mismanagement at the School Board and a real blow that this happens for our last training session before the start of league play. Last night was a total wash and I'm very disappointed".

The club begins its season this Saturday Kicking off at 9AM against Scarborough United at Ashtonbee Park.
