Inter Soccer Monday Night League - Royal Oak 3 Red Star 0

14th April, 2008

The Oak claim there first win in 3 weeks.

Michael Cooney returned to the squad for this must win game.

Claudio Jordan was still suspended, Liam Boland had to play in goal and Pistol Pete was surplus to requirements for this weeks clash.

Andy Palombella recovered after his knock last week to take his place in the starting VI.

The Oak took the lead after 5 minutes with a Lorenzo Jordan strike. The Oak then had about 15 chances to increase the scoreline, but didn’t put any of them away!

Michael Cooney managed to attach his name to the scoresheet and the final score was 3-0.

The Oak have kept there unbeaten record but still remain in second place after Sharnbrook also won last night. Next week sees the Oak play mid table Gold Crown who they beat 3 â€' 0 earlier in the season. Another 3 points would keep up the pressure on Sharnbrook and keep the Oak in the title race.
