Ipswich rangers game to be re-arranged More »
BT Research reserves are a small team from Raydon making big waves in local Sunday footbal. Managed by Colin "Capello" Goody the team are making a real push for promotion out of the black hole that is RM4 in the Ipswich Sunday football League.
Colin's worked hard over the summer, not only on practicing corners on the training field but on in getting the perfect blend of youth and experience throughout the side.
Graham "egg in the nest" Stiff has been an inspired signing, slotting in well at the back with the long serving/suffering back line.
Justin "V-man" Vince has brought a defensive strength to the midfield, his selfless makelele style role granting luxury player Alan Backhouse a licence to thrill!
Wide left we now have the continental style of Sean "The Rat" Kearney, although not a favourite amongst the players due to some sloppy finishing the fans just can't seem to get enough of his signature drag back!
"The secret weapon" aka Leroy Clarke has added strength and depth to the mid-field, he may not always get a full game but his throw in's are second to none.
Other summer signings include Guy "The big show" Clubb, the all round utility player that is still trying to re-capture his pre-season form and Jon "Joffy" Hammond although not the most reliable, has shown in recent weeks while Colin Capello broke the clubs transfer record to bring him to the club.
The Arrival of Guy and Joff meant that BT now have a wealth of goalkeeping talent but despite being heavily criticised within the local media and by his own players Capello has stuck with Alan "The Cat" Dix in goal, rumor has it that Dixxie has offered Colin 25% of any profit made from his authobiography "Alan Dix, My life bewteen the Stix"
We musn't forget the home grown talent such as Tom "Anywhere will do" Goody, Greg "Why pass, when i can take 7 people on" Ranson and Top scorer Ross "Tap-in" Cracknell.
Will we get promoted? Jump on the BT bus and get involved!
