Enderby Social Club have announced an end of season tour to Amsterdam.
22nd September, 2008
Enderby Social conseeded there first goals of the season as keeper Lee Ross has a howler. With the first free kick of the game Lee Ross looked to make an easy save but only to drop the bouncing ball into the net after a good strong start from the Socialites with numerous chances going to waste.
The Social got back onto level terms with a 3 strike of the season from Lee Taylor with a powerful drive from an acute angel prooving to hot for the keeper to handle. With only 90 seconds from the restart Hollywell were back in front agains the run of play, but as always the Social made it hard for themselves with a free kick from David Taylor into the box and headed out to Robbo to finish with a cool chip into the net to make it 2-2 at the interval.
After the 2nd half got underway the Socialites started the strongest again and were rewarded with a goal when Knowlsey fired a ball into the box for Adam Taylor to knock in the 3rd for the Social making it 2-3,this looked like the Social were going to cruise away with the points but as Hollywell had a corner they were the team to get back on level terms, this looked to frustrate the Social as Lee Taylor was tackled on the halfway line only to get up and retaliate by kicking out at the Hollywells midfielder to earn himself his 1st yellow card of the season.
Enderby kept pressing away but somehow you just knew it wasnt to be there day as the referee was being a complete c**t by not adding any time on for the ball going out and looked to side with Hollywell, the Social came close at the death with Knowlsey hitting the post and the game to finish Hollywell 08 3-3 Enderby Social leaving them 3rd in the league with a game in hand.
