Busby bags in 4-4 thriller!!

27th April, 2008

Matt Busby made his debut today and boosted himself with a goal, all be it from the spot,Ben taylor made the darting run into the box only to be brought down as the referee pointed to the spot,Taylor looked some what disapointed only to be robbed of his penalty from croud urging Matt Busby,He cooly stepped up and smashed it in off the bar to bounce on the line and in!It was a game of mixed positions as the Socialites picked positions out of a hat as it was the last game of the season in the league where any result would not change there league standings, amongst the other scorers were Wez Clarke aka 'springhead' and 2 goals for Scott Dixie aka 'Dicko'
There were many missed chances which included Wez Clarke missing an open goal!Lee Taylor kept them in the game by tipping a 25 yard free kick onto the bar late on as he picked the goalkeeper position out of the hat at the half time re-draw,it now sees the Socialites undefeated in 4 games heading into there cup final match this coming Friday.
Myself Matt Busby and Simon Reynolds would like to thank the team for yet another thrilling season with many ups and downs and thanks again for all your hard work lads.lets hope we can end the season in style with a peice of silverwear GOOD LUCK LADS ALL THE BEST
