Macintyre Speaks Of Joy Of Return To The Club
After a short break away from the team which saw the manager travel to 7 different countries and also busy taking time out , we caught up with him at Xscape this morning where he was shwing of his extreme snowboarding side.
On asked on his thoughts about returning to the helm this week the manager was really fired up ...
" yea i will be returning to action this week on thursday at training and will have the team all organised for the match on sunday. I think there has been a few issues regarding last sunday but i hope to have that resolved and have a team gunning to win "
On asked about the player revolt regarding Sean Armstrong becoming assistant manager the manager replied ...
" Seanaldo is my cousin and i woudl love to have him on board at a management level. Though i would love to see him still play in the squad. Sean has a great football mind and i remember when we were young we used to doodle up tactics
" Though we will wait nad see what happens regarding seanaldo , wither he stays at a playing level or takes up a coaching role "
The manager was also quizzed on news reports of Dale Mulholland returning to The Grants on a non playing role , Puzzled the manager responded ...
" Dale returning to the Grants in the future is a possibility but i do not know in what area he would return to us in. I still have the fan mail pouring in for us to bring him back though i think his heart is set and wont be coming back im afraid "
The Grants AFC are away to The Clairemont this Sunday at Auchenharvies and MacIntyre is set to get the fire burning in the engine room and get the team back on track.
However the manager was quizzed on the possibility of more names coming in before the transfer window ..
" You never know , i may still be able to bring in one or two players. Though i will only buy players who can improve the squad "
