must try harder!

what a difference a week makes, from playing some great footy at grassington to looking like a side that hadn't played together before! kicking into the sun in the first half celtic must have thought they could just turn up and have the 3 points, passing was going astray, shots going wide and nobody wanted to take charge of the game but still we were still creating chances. ben was doing his best down the left but nobody was on the end of his crosses, the midfield cancelled each other out and crossy and the defence had little to do. one good piece of football did bring a goal , good passing resulted in digs crossing for dom to put the ball in the net via his shin, 1-0. horton created a couple of chances, crossy saved well and the defence scrambled the ball away on a couple of occasions, with half time approaching the ball was crossed into the horton area and there was cal(don't know what he was doing there!) to volley the ball into the top corner from 20 yards out, 2-0 at half time. the second half was similar to the first with trawden still not playing their best, dicko was shooting at every opportunity but celtic still couldn't find that killer third goal. trawden then had a ten minute spell where they played their best football only to be hit with a sucker punch where horton broke and won a penalty due to wattys handball, goal for horton, game on 2-1. would celtic fold under pressure, no, crabby on as a sub found the back of the net after some good team work, 3-1 and the end of the game. a much better and improved display will be needed against chatburn if we are to continue for promotion but another 3 points today from a poor display can't be that bad, m.o.m was ben.
