after a scenic journey, one or two having mystery tours, we arrive at grassington, on a superb day for football, we got down to business straight away against a side who looked strong when they came onto the field but would leave it differently. from the off celtic were soon into there opponents, ben down the left was making brilliant runs and crosses, its just a shame that dom, digs,dicko,cal and uncle tom cobbley n all couldn't connect but credit where its due everyone kept plugging away and after numerous chances jp latched onto a loose ball and smashed it into the net, 1-0 to trawden and jp's 1st goal. just after scoring you are always at your most vunerable and this was the case when a mix up in defence led to crossy giving away a penalty but the grassington player sent it into orbit (they are still looking for the ball, nasa are tracking it). good kicking by crossy throughout the game always put the home team under pressure its a shame we couldn't get onto more loose balls (nuts likes loose balls!). second half started much the same as the first with trawden dominating and with the opposition tiring celtic soon took a two goal lead when nuts broke from defence and after some good passing, supplied the cross for digs to nod home. with trawden winning all the tackles now and the ref swaying our way a little!! the stripes were always going to win this game, rossy had a perfectly good goal disallowed, the choice language he used didn't go down well with watching grandparents! but before long a third goal came after watty crossed for dicko, who killed the ball with his chest and hammered!! the ball into the net, 3-0. jp came off for crabby, who worked well down the right with watty and ben came off for phil, celtic continued to press for a fourth but to no avail, crossy remained untroubled in goal, nuts had a mad ten mins, a few more shots at goal for trawden but in the end a clean sheet and another 3 pts, keep it up. m.o.m was nuts!!!!
