playing into the sun the first half, celtic fielded an unchanged side from the chatburn game but looking at some of the action you wouldn't have thought so. cononley started the better and looking lively upfront they carved out a couple of chances only for them to be well saved by crossy (even if they were offside!), ben was looking livelier than the previous week and started to make some good runs down the left, with dicko and rossy up and down the centre and kev searching for the ball on the right, celtics best chance fell to diggler who somehow managed to hit the post from 3 yards out!!!! celtic came out for the second half and started to get the upper hand with crosses, shots and throw ins all testing the conoley defence apart from watty's shots which were last seen rolling down the road to wycoller. with all the pressure coming from celtic it was cononley who took the lead when the forward latched onto a through ball and although maggots tried to catch him he rounded crossy (some feat in itself) and slotted the ball home. celtic never let there heads drop though and more pressure led to a penalty claim when cals shot was stopped by a defenders hand (who spun the ball on his finger before knocking the ball away) but the referee was unsighted and waved play on, stanny then made changes bringing joe on to replace kev, tank on for diggler, dicko pushed up front, cal went into midfield, nuts came to centre half and tank went to left back(in,out,in,out,shake it all about) but it seemed to work and following a speculative overhead kick from cal which the keeper gathered with ease, all the hard work came to fruition when following a foul on joe which saw the dismissal of the cononley forward, dicko with another cross come shot beat the keeper from 30 yards to send the capacity crowd wild and earn celtic a share of the spoils, unbeaten again, long may it continue. m.o.m. was crossy.
