Falcon Lodge stuggled through there first game off the season with a loss to fellow title contendors Parklands.
With a number of Senior players missing for the opening game of the season it showed as lodge looked out of shape and out of sorts in the first ten minutes. Parklands played some good link up play gliding through the defence with a neat one two before slotting past the keeper.
Falcon Lodge stugled to get 3 passes together as the half was drawing to a close but Terry Cartwrights looping volley managed to somehow bounce over the stranded parklands keeper making it level at half time.
Faclon Lodge Regrouped at half time and started the second half as they did the first, slow and lacking any sort of decent passing and with no end product in last third of the pitch. Lodge's lack luster play was then punished as another slick passing move from Parklands saw the ball whipped in from the wing for the player to finish with no real player making any sort of tackle to prevent him doing so. Lodge playing with no belief and no dicipline resigned themselves to defeat except from a couple of squandered golden oppurtunities towards the end of the game which all in all summed up the whole match.
Good work from Parklands saw them wrap up the game 2-1.
Lodge will have to play a whole lot better than they did today to get anything from this season.
Roll on next week.
