More points dropped by Greyhound

31st January, 2008

Some good football from a depleted Greyhound side, but yet again too many missed chances meant Greyhound dropped another 2 valuable points against an ordinary Barlencia side.
Greyhound took the lead through the returning Dave Holmes who headed in from a corner. Barlencia equalised against the run of play with a penalty. Too many clear cut chances to mention went by until an own goal restored Greyhound's lead. Barlencia broke late in the game to eqaulise once more. There was still enough time for the ever reliable Joe Mackey to miss a penalty! and for Greyhound to miss at least another 3 clear cut chances.
In fairness at least Greyhound are playing some good football, albeit in patches. Most people played well, with Colin Insley and man of the match Tom Twort(pictured)and playing in his new found fullback role, particularly impressive.
