Greyhound take Premier leaders all the way in Cup!

4th November, 2007

Greyhound took Premier leaders Great Barr Cat and Fiddle right to the wire in a fantastic Challenge cup tie. Full time and extra time saw the teams level at 2-2, which is no more than the excellent Greyhound team deserved. After having a chance to win the penalty shoot out it was not to be and Cat came out on top 4-3 on pens, after 6 pens each.
Highlights were: The excellent overall team effort and performance, with all 14 players that took part giving their all! Sean Dunnes 8th consecutive goal (watch out Polish Dan!) Richard Leightons (pictured) superb goalkeeping display and 16 year old Cavan Baxter's first goal for the club, in what was a very mature performance by the excellent youngster.
