3rd February, 2008

This morning the people of Rio were bemused by the unfamiliar gown adorned by the almighty above the streets of Brazil's most vibrant and famous city. Unbeknown to the people of Brazil at the exact time of them rising out of bed and ironing their favourite poncho for the day 6000 miles away, in a little town called Beeston, the final whistle was blowing in yet another victory for the juggernaut of a football team known as Digica FC. Joint league leaders with a game in hand, the baby blues are attracting followers from up and down the country, man and beast alike, and now seem to have the official approval of the almighty.
The signs have been there in recent weeks that divine intervention has played a part in some of Digica's victory's but in a recent exclusive with the Big Man himself, he denies any foul play. One such occasion was the 3-1 win over APB, the Big Man chuckles at this petty point "It's true that i popped down to clifton to catch the Digica - APB clash, what do you expect? With a load of TOIL built up and nothing on the box what else was i to do but catch such a prestigious quarter final tie. I was spotted by a few people with my head above the trees which started the rumours that i had a hand in the 3-1 score line. Absolute nonesense. Digica were and are far superior than most mortal teams, in fact i'm having some players investigated as i'm sure you only get those skills by selling your soul to the devil."
I guess that clears a few things up then.
The Digica dream lives on
