Numerous rumours are flying around at present about what was behind the humiliating Digica loss at the weekend. Some camps are saying it was colossus defender Rob Burdens decision to well and truly wipe out Alis remarkable run of clean sheets by purposely playing terrible whilst backing his plan up with a quick bribe to the opposition, resulting in a man of the match award. Constructivist theorists see the loss of flamboyant winger Dave Booth as a rolling consequence which has seen Digica play progressively worse since his diabolical sending off. Realists however, are asking questions over the desire of Gaffa French, with the vacant spot of England manage open, some have seen Frenchs flair disappear under a cloud of FA wildfire.
Despite all these rumours there can be only one truth and that is the Gaffas precariously unwise words at the café ala Hooter. French Pooh-poohed the idea that superstition and routine were playing a central role in Digicas unfounded success so far, a pooh-pooh that has astoundingly bitten the Gaffas backside and made its way back home. French scoffed and scorned at Booth and Burdens claim that their morning-routine (which cannot be disclosed at this time) was the salient rationale behind Digicas astounding start to the season. He went on to mock their superstitious beliefs, but the Digica eleven defiantly saw only one magpie at the weekend. He jeered at their patriotic ability to replicate said routine, week after week. Whos smiling now Gaffa? Not the didgeridoos thats for sure. Another hiccup like that could pave the way for the well-established Digica no. 2, Rushby. With his vocal talent he could well be the man to see Digica through a tough, but not routine, season.
