against an unknown side trawden started well, showing no nerves celtic were playing the ball around well and creating half chances but the finish we wanted just wasn't happening, half time came 0-0. the opposition hadn't give crossy a thing to do in the first half and with the defence looking solid it was going to be about putting the ball in the opponents goals,digs failed to convert from inches out , parker with only the keeper to beat put it wide of the mark but made amends when given the ball on the halfway line he was allowed to advance and fired the ball into the bottom left of the goal from 30 yards, 1-0 to the celtic. with youngy winning all the balls in centre midfield trawden were going to be hard to beat and islingtons only chance came when a lapse in concentration allowed their forward to break clear but crossy was alert to the danger and saved well. trawden had numerous chances to increase the lead T put the ball wide and youngy went for the spectacular with a volley but blazed it over but a great footballing performance by everyone involved, hopefully we can progress further not only in this comp but in the league, one or two players looked a little rusty but if they can make the effort and get to training things can only get better!
