The word.. An eagerly awaited fixture for both teams seen a well contested game, Chris Daniels opened the scoring for the keys in the early stages of the first half giving the Keys the upper hand for the time being. A good performance from both teams with a couple of chances at both ends in the first half seen the Stevenston side taking the 1-0 lead into half time.
More of the same at the start of the 2nd half,a couple of chances here a couple of chances there, the Alton made a substitution early in the 2nd half looking for an equalizer, with the Keys side pushing for that 2nd goal to kill the game off leaving the Kilwinning side in their wake, but the kilwinning side stuck to their job and contested in every area of the park finally creating a chance which resulted in the equalizer(70+minutes), the game was back on! this lifted the kilwinning side into going for a 2nd with some good football getting played and No Nonsense tackles(Old School)from both sides. The Keys management team decided to make a change in the 75th minute which seen Gary C on for Kris Brodie who was carrying an earlier knock, 10 minutes it took for Gary C to find the back of Net ending up in a well celebrated goal from the team, this resulted in the winner for the Stevenston boys 2 - 1 who have one remaining fixture in the League Section Cup against Kilmarnock.
