Muse and Stevie Wonder are being touted as headliners for this year’s Glastonbury festival.

At the Event Production Show in London on Tuesday, Glasto organiser Michael Eavis reportedly confirmed that Muse will play, while adding that Wonder’s attendance is “probable”.

U2 have already been announced as the Friday headliners on the Pyramid Stage, so if the rumours are true Muse are likely to play the Saturday night and Wonder the Sunday.

However, speaking to The Guardian, the Glastonbury press office dismissed suggestions that anything has been finalised.

“We would love Stevie Wonder to play but nothing has been confirmed yet.

“There has also been a lot of speculation about whether Muse will be headlining, but we can’t confirm anything at the moment. We are still in talks.”

This year’s event marks the famous festival’s 40th anniversary.

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz has cast doubt on the band’s future by saying that he ‘can’t imagine’ playing with them again.

The American foursome have been on hiatus since releasing their greatest hits three years ago and, according to Wentz, they may not return.

“Every day for the past seven years of my life I woke up with a purpose,” he wrote on his blog. “When I lost that, I lost part of me…Letting go of this giant part of my life has been hard, but I am convinced I will find something new that sparks me in a similar way.”

He later posted: “I don’t know the future of Fall Out Boy…There is the possibility that FOB will play again without me or I will be a part of it when everyone is on the same page. It is no one’s fault and there is no animosity about the decision.”

He then added on his Twitter account: “I can’t imagine playing in FOB again. Something would have to change in my head or my heart…not my wallet.”

Fall Out Boy have released five albums: ‘Fall Out Boy’s Evening Out with your Girlfriend’, ‘Take This to Your Grave’, ‘From Under the Cork Tree’, ‘Infinity on High’ and ‘Folie a Deux’.

Finally, Delphic and Marina And The Diamonds are among the acts playing at this year’s Great Escape festival in Brighton.
