Lady Gaga big winner at the Brits

Lady Gaga was the big winner at the Brits as she took home three awards from Earl’s Court.

The American artist won in the ‘International Female Solo Artist’, ‘International Album’ and ‘International Breakthrough Act’ categories.

Of her win in the album category, she said: “This award means even more to me because I worked so hard on this album for so long and I think about all the songs that I wrote and all the years that went by and all the rejection and how my fans were the first people to believe in me.”

Meanwhile, Kasabian beat off competition from Doves, Friendly Fires, JLS and Muse to win the ‘British Group’ category.

During the acceptance speech, singer Tom Meighan said: “I wanna thank everyone who’s responsible.

“All I can say anyone is you cannot make an omlette without breaking some eggs.”
