Kings of Leon will play a support slot for The Features in Nashville, according to reports.
The Features are signed to the Sex on Fire band’s record label and are set to play Nashville’s 500-capacity Exit/In venue on February 5th.
The support act are currently listed as TBA, but it is thought the Brothers Followill have been lined up to step in.
The Features were formed in Tennessee in 1994 and their new album, Some Kind of Salvation, is due for release in Britain next month.
MIA’s new album could be out by early spring, the artist has revealed.
Talking to the NME, she explained that the release will be a more difficult piece of work than Kala and Arular.
“I wanted it to be like, no gimmicks,” she said. “It’s my third album and I have to kind of confront whether I am a musician or not…
“I wanted to make something that you could play that isn’t like trendy just for three months, or the length of a DJ’s attention span.”
Finally, Doves will play Suffolk’s Thetford Forest on June 12th as part of a series of shows set up by the Forestry Commission.
Keane, Simply Red, Status Quo and James Morrison are among the other artists who will play one-off gigs in forests around Britain.
Jimi Goodwin of the band said: “It was great experience playing to a sold-out crowd at Delamere Forest last summer so we are pleased to announce another forest gig for 2010.”
Tickets for the Doves show will go on sale on Friday 15th January at 9am. For more information see: Forestry.gov.uk/music
