Kasabian and Kings of Leon will headline the V Festival, it has been confirmed.
The English band last played the event in 2007, while Kings of Leon were last on in 2008.
Kasabian said: “We feel it’s the right time for us to headline a festival.
“We’ve been playing so many festivals for so long, years and years. Our fans are going to love the show.”
Florence And The Machine, The Prodigy, Ellie Goulding, Paolo Nutini, La Roux, Pixie Lott, Plan B and Stereophonics have also been confirmed.
Tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am.
Meanwhile, Mark Ronson believes his new album may be his best yet.
‘The Business’, released later in 2010, will be the follow-up to ‘Here Comes The Fuzz’ and ‘Version’.
Ronson said: “I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I know Back To Black was a really seminal album and it’s something that I’m really proud of.
“But I think you just grow with every record as a producer and this is the one.
“The performances and the people I’ve written songs with – from Jake from the Scissor Sisters, Jon from The Drums, Miike Snow, Dave from the Zutons – they’re really some amazing songs.
“I just know it’s good. That’s all I can say. I do feel like I’d put it pound for pound against anyone else’s record this year.”
