Bono: U2 working on two new albums

Thursday 19th August 2010

Bono has revealed that U2 are working on two new albums.

The band had to pull out of Glastonbury this year due to Bono’s back problems, but they are now working on a new “club-sounding” album as the follow up to “No Line On The Horizon.”

But the frontman has no qualms about returning to a busy schedule. He said: “There are a lot bigger problems out there than the ones I was facing…

“But I came out of it perfect. And I feel incredibly grateful.”

The band are also planning a traditional rock album and “Songs of Ascent”, a collection of tracks from sessions for the last LP.

On a personal level Bono is also joining The Edge to write songs for the Spider Man musical.
