AC/DC to headline at Download

Tuesday 26th January 2010

AC/DC have been confirmed as headliners of this year’s Download Festival.

The Donington Park-set event will take place between June 11th and June 13th and also see sets from Them Crooked Vultures, Bullet For My Valentine and Wolfmother.

Megadeth, Stone Temple Pilots and Deftones will also be playing.

Tickets start at £145 and will go on sale this Friday.

Meanwhile, Liam Fray of The Courteeners has revealed that the band will play an intimate show at the Manchester Ruby Lounge on February 16th.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis at the venue’s box office from this Saturday at 10am.

“Let’s face it, it’s Manchester so it’s going to rain while people are queuing, so wrap up warm,” said Fray.

“Take a friend, perhaps one of the opposite sex so you can have a good cuddle if it gets really cold!”

The band’s second album, ‘Falcon’, will be released on February 22nd.
