Dont bother bringing loads of clothes with you, as carrying everything there on the first day makes you want to cry. Instead bring lots and lots of food (much cheaper than things from the vans) which i guarantee you'll finish by the end of the weekend and buy clothes at the festival. Stuff is usually really cheap and its best just to look as mad as possible all weekend. Buy ridiculous hats for Â2 and big colouful blankets for the evening. About a million times more fun.

Somone in your gorup should take a plastic collapsable water container - you can get 10 litre ones from Milletts and they are quite cheap. They fold up so can be packed easily and will save a lot of tooing and throwing from tap to tent which be a hassle after a while.

Always buy vegetarian food at festivals as it is better quality grub.

Take gaffa tape. I have used it to waterproof trainers, fix handbags and leaking tents and hold on my finger after a scissors dilemma!
