Back for the seventh year running. this year's Isle Of Wight Festival is set to be the biggest and best yet with all 50,000 tickets flying out the door within days of going on sale at the end of last year. Having scooped Best Major UK Festival and Outstanding Contribution to Festivals in the UK Festival Awards in 2007, Isle Of Wight Festival is now well and truly placed as one of the biggest and best festival of the summer. Having been revived after a 22 year gap following the gigantic 600,000 strong festival back in 1970, the Isle Of Wight Festival has gone from strength to strength since it's rebirth in 2002 with previous headliners including Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, The Who, David Bowie, R.E.M and Snow Patrol. Expect 3 days of music, camping, ice cold Carling on tap at the bars, top DJs in the dance tents, funfairs, and this year the new additions of The Big Top giving festival-goers another stage of live music to choose from and the BT Chill Zone offering up free mobile phone charging and an area to relax rest those weary legs. We'll also have our Cold Beer Amnesty tent where you can make sure your weekend isn't spoiled by evil warm beer!
