THIS FESTIVAL HAS BEEN AND GONE

What is it?

The biggest rock festival in the UK is back for another year of hard rock, metal, rock-rave and electronica with over 70,000 music fans expected to descend on Donington Park in the East Midlands - the spiritual home of outdoor rock events. This year's event sees Slipknot, Def Leppard and Faith No More headline the Main Stage across 3 days with another 100 bands set to join the bill by June. As well as the world-class line-up of world-class live acts, Download Festival also features a 24/7 Village Area where festival-goers can find everything from LaserQuest and human table-football to contortionists and drumming workshops. There's also a R.I.P (V.I.P with a death metal twist!) camping area where you can live like a goth king and queen over the weekend in the plush camping tipis, shacks and tour buses or even take in a hotel with courtesy shuttle buses to take you back and forth form the festival site every day. Download have also pulled off one of the biggest coups of the festival season so far by securing the newly reunited Faith No More's only UK date this year to headline the Main Stage on Friday night.
