Definitely the biggest and arguably the best alternative summer event returns with another incredible line-up for 2008. Last summer, 70,000 music fans descended on Donington Park in the East Midlands for 3 days of hard rock, metal, emo, ska and punk. This year the legendary Kiss are set to headline alongside The Offspring and Lostprophets at the 3-day event which expands from its confines of Donington racetrack this June to set up a new home within Donington Park for 2008 and beyond. As well as the premium line-up of world-class live acts, Download Festival also features 24/7 entertainment in The Village Area where festival-goers can find everything from LaserQuest and human table-football to contortionists and drumming workshops. There's also a R.I.P (V.I.P with a death metal twist!) camping area where you can live like a goth king and queen over the weekend in the plush camping tipis, shacks and hotels as well as a Silent Disco taking place after the bands have finished in the Campsite Entertainment Tent.
Download Festival takes place on June 13th, 14th and 15th at Donington Park in the East Midlands. Campsites open at midday on 11th June for all the earlybirds (closes at midday, 16th June). The main arenas open at midday on Friday and 10am Saturday and Sunday.
