WHAT TO TAKE - THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE

This is the most important thing you can do before you leave, there's nothing worse than arriving at your festival and realising you haven't packed the most essential items!

Tent
Goes without saying, unless you're posh and stopping in a hotel.
Lilo
Cheap throw-away alternative to an expensive airbed.
Sleeping Bag
If you don't pass out from dancing, this will keep you toasty until you drop off.
Baby Wipes and Deodorant
To keep the pong at bay if you don't fancy the showers!
Ground Sheet
Roughing it is fun, but the ground can be hard after a few days.
Moisturiser
(Ladies!) Keep your skin smooth and supple incase you bump into a rock god.
Pillow
If you have the space, if not a rolled up towel will work as well.
Condoms
(Blokes and Ladies!) Always useful, wink wink, tent flags or water balloons.
Torch and Batteries
You'd be surprised how many muppets forget the batteries.
Water Bottle
You can fill these up for free all weekend at the many water points available on site.
Tent Flag
Make your base camp stand out.
Suntan Lotion
A must for all day in the sun. Believe it or not, YOU WILL BURN!!!
Camping Chair
If you don't want to be sat on the damp ground all weekend, this one's a winner.
Sunglasses
The one place you'll get a great view of the stage will be directly in line with the sun.
Loo Roll
THIS IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL ITEM, DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT!
Toiletries
Don't forget your toothbrush, wet-wipes, towel and other essential toiletries.
Wellies
Another essential item and they come in all shapes and sizes!
Disposable BBQ's
A great alternative to lugging your camping stove.
Waterproof Jacket/Poncho
Or a bin liner is just as useful for when the heavens open or you want to sit down.
Tin Opener
You've packed the food, the pans, and the stove but you need to open the tins!
Combat Trousers
A festival must. Perfect to hold all your stuff and hide the mud.
Bin Bags
Keep those damp clothes away from your dry ones if it rains.
Change of Clothes
For when it rains. You may stay dry but you'll slip on the wet mud, GUARANTEED.
Mobile Phone
Charged, the queues for charging can be a nightmare.
Jumper
It does get a bit nippy at nights and you don't want to get a cold.
Money
Cash points are available at most festivals but prepare yourself for a long queue!
Hat
Good protection from the sun, especially for the follically challenged.
