Stephen Ward
Position: Forward
Height: 5'11
Weight: 12st 2lbs
Date of Birth: 1985-08-20 Dublin, Republic of Ireland

Beginning his career at Eircom side Bohemians, Ward made the move to English football in January 2007 when he signed for Wolves for an undisclosed fee. He had originally been spotted by Wolves boss Mick McCarthy in his spell as manager of Sunderland.
Scoring three goals in his opening six games, Ward was named Championship Player of the Month in February 2007. He was used in a variety of positions during the 2007/08 season, most prominently as a striker, left winger and left back.
2008/09 saw Ward start 38 games as Wolves romped to the Championship title. He was once again used out of his original striking role, mostly adopted at either left wing and left back. His attacking mindset and purposeful running made him a regular threat and his versatility is likely to be useful as Wolves return to the top flight.
