David Jones

A graduate of the Manchester United youth system, David Jones first caught the eye during a very successful loan stint at Preston North-End in the first half of the 2005/06 season. His development was furthered by another loan spell at NEC in Holland during the second half of the campaign.

He moved on loan to Derby in November 2006, making the move permanent in the winter transfer window and his season ended successfully as The Rams were promoted to the Premier League after victory over West Brom in the play-off final at Wembley.

He struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot following Derby's promotion, and moved to Wolves during the summer of 2008 before making 34 appearances in his side's promotion to the Premier League in 2008/09.
