David Edwards
Position: Midfield
Height: 5'11
Weight: 11st 1lbs
Date of Birth: 1986-02-03 Pontesbury, England

A Welsh international, Edwards has proven to be an astute piece of business by Mick McCarthy since he picked up the midfielder from Luton in January 2008. Assured in possession and the possessor of a mature attitude, Edwards was an important member of Wolves' 2008/09 title success, making a total of 44 appearances.
Born in Shrewsbury, Edwards began his career with his hometown club aged just 17 as the Shrews were relegated from the Football League. He played a modest role in the club's return to the Football League but became a crucial figure as his development progressed, spending three seasons as a regular first-teamer at Gay Meadow.
After rejecting a contract extension with the club, Edwards left for Luton Town at the end of the 2006/07 season, with his transfer fee decided by tribunal. His stay at Kenilworth Road was brief though, as Wolves snapped him up for an undisclosed fee.
