Scottish international Iwelumo has enjoyed success late in a career that has seen him play in four different countries. Starting with St Mirren in Scotland, Iwelumo then spent two years playing in Denmark with Aarhus.
He returned to Britain in 2000, spending four years at Stoke City before moving to Germany with Allemannia Aachen. His stint in the Bundeliga was short-lived and the robust forward signed for Colchester United in July 2005.
He enjoyed an extremely fruitful two year spell in Essex, striking up an excellent partnership with Jamie Cureton as the Us were promoted from League One, before finishing 10th in the Championship.
That success attracted newly relegated Charlton who signed Iwelumo on a free transfer in May 2007. Charlton's failure to secure promotion back to the Premier League saw Iwelumo leave the club and sign for Wolves in July 2008.
Iwelumo was a crucial figure, particularly in the first half of the campaign, as he hit 14 goals in Wolves' title winning season of 2008/09.
