Marlon King
Position: Forward
Height: 6'1
Weight: 12st 3lbs
Date of Birth: 1980-04-26 Dulwich, England

Marlon King is a well-travelled but still young striker whose skill and natural goalscoring ability will prove vital in Wigan's bid to stay up.
He began his career with Barnet before moving onto Gillingham in 2000, where he made 93 appearances, scoring over 40 goals.
That was enough to persuade Nottingham Forest he was good enough to replace the outgoing Marlon Harewood, signing for the former European Champions in November 2003.
But King's stay at the City Ground proved unsuccessful as he made only 50 appearances in two seasons, scoring only ten league goals.
Looking for regular football, he was loaned out to Leeds two months at the tail end of the 2005/06 season, before moving on a again to Watford.
It was here that King found his feet as, in just six months at the start of last season, he made 21 starts before signing permanently in December 2005 and making a further 20. He scored 21 goals along the way.
A successful 2006/07 season in the Premier League followed, but after the Hornets were relegated talk of a move was mooted, and it eventually came into fruition in January 2008, as he joined Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee, having previously been linked to Fulham.
