Carlo Nash

Goalkeeper Carlo Nash dropped out of the Premiership in March 2005 to join Preston North End, but just under two years later he was back in the top flight on loan at Wigan Athletic.

Nash had joined Middlesbrough in the summer of 2003 from Manchester City, but had to play second fiddle to Mark Schwarzer for most of his time on Teesside.

He had also played for Wolves, Stockport County and Crystal Palace in his career, and in February 2007 joined Wigan Athletic on loan for a month to cover for injuries to Chris Kirkland and Mike Pollitt. In June 2007 he made the move permanent.
