Ben Watson made his Palace debut aged 17, against Watford in April 2003, and immediately impressed with his performance, keeping his place in the side for the final four games of the season.

A young midfielder with an excellent footballing brain, Eagles fans have high hopes for their promising home-grown starlet, who went on to make 16 league appearances for the side in 2003/04, and is likely to play some part in Palace's first season back in the top flight.
