Sherjill MacDonald

Sherjill MacDonald is a young Dutch striker who will be looking to set the Premier League alight in 2008/09.

He began his career as part of Ajax's prestigeous youth academy, but never broke into the first team and joined R.S.C. Anderlecht in 2001.

Because of his tender years he was loaned out twice during his five years at the club, before joining AGOVV Apeldoorn in 2006.

After impressing against then-Baggies star Curtis Davies in an Under-21 friendly against England, MacDonald attracted the attention of West Brom, who signed the youngster on loan.

He continued to impress at The Hawthornes, and after enjoying a brief loan stay at Hereford last season, looks likely to do the same in the Premier League.
