Chicago Fire are interested in signing Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, according to the MLS club’s head coach Frank Klopas.
Drobga, who had been targeted by Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua last month, has yet to sign a contract extension at Stamford Bridge, amid reports he is unhappy at not being offered more an a one-year deal.
Chicago Fire could sign the 33-year-old on a free transfer since his contract expires with Chelsea this summer and the MLS side’s coach would welcome the Ivory Coast international as one of the club’s designated players.

Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega is wanted by Tottenham and Fulham at the end of the season.
The Colombian was close to agreeing moves with both London clubs this week, with loan switches still being discussed right up to Tuesday night’s deadline.
But the proposals came too late, and left Wigan boss Roberto Martinez with no time to find a replacement.
Wigan knows Rodallega will leave as a free agent, but turned down a £4million bid for him from QPR because they did not want to sell to a survival-fight rival.

Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin has vowed to stay with the club until the end of the season, rejecting a move to Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
The big-spending outfit, who currently boast former Chelsea winger Yuri Zhirkov and ex-Barcelona striker Sameuel Eto’o in their ranks, want to add the Russian captain to their squad before the domestic transfer window closes.
However, the player’s agent insists the playmaker has no intention of returning to his homeland just yet.
‘The Russia window lasts until February 24th and a guy representing Anzhi has made a tentative approach,’ Phil Smith told Goal.com.
