Everton could be ready to offer Darron Gibson a way out of Old Trafford.
David Moyes is readying a bid for the Republic of Ireland international, who was close to joining Sunderland last summer.
That deal fell through and the 24-year-old was left on the fringes for much of the season by Sir Alex Ferguson.
It was only the crippling spate of injuries suffered by the Premier League champions that led to a recall for the Boxing Day win against Wigan.

Galatasaray are ready to test Liverpool’s resolve with a bid for Dirk Kuyt, as the Dutchman continues to battle for a place in Kenny Dalglish’s new look side.
Kuyt has proved to be one of Liverpool’s most consistent performers since his £10 million arrival from Feyenoord in 2006, where his mixture of excellent work ethics and goalscoring nous has helped endear him to the Anfield faithful.
However, since Dalglish’s summer reshuffle, in which the likes of Stuart Downing, Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson were added to January buys Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, Kuyt has found opportunities limited, and is worried about his situation with the European Championships approaching in the summer.

Gary Cahill will have to drop his incredible wage demands by £50,000 a week if he wants to complete a January move to Chelsea.
The Daily Express can reveal England defender Gary Cahill has staggered the Blues by demanding a £120,000-a-week contract after Chelsea and Bolton had agreed a £7million fee.
That would put him on the same salary as Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole and only £30,000 a week short of top earners John Terry, Frank Lampard and Fernando Torres.
