AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has told David Beckham he can still have a future at the San Siro. Beckham’s second loan spell with the Italian side has been brought to an end by his Achilles injury, but Galliani will welcome Beckham back for a third stint. He said: “David will probably be out for five to six months. I saw him suffering. “I gave him a hug in the changing rooms and I told him that if he wants, next year he will be with us. “He came to Milan to be called up by England boss Fabio Capello.Unfortunately, this is football but Beckham has great willpower.”

Juventus are tempted to cut their losses on Felipe Melo and offload the £21million flop to Arsenal. Arsene Wenger is still keen on the Brazil midfielder, despite missing out when Melo left Fiorentina for Juve last summer. The move has not worked out and the Turin giants are now considering whether to cash in on the Gunners’ continued interest.

Ashley Cole has been targeted by Real Madrid as the fallen giants bid to rebuild after their Champions League disaster. The England left-back, 29, is currently injured and suffering a nightmare time off the pitch following the breakdown of his marriage to former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole. Widespread condemnation following his alleged conduct in the run up to the break-up has also sparked threats from the player’s camp that he could quit the Premier League for Spain. Now Madrid are ready to welcome Cole to La Liga following their exit from the Champions League at the knockout stage for the sixth successive season.
