Sunderland make Keane move

Spurs will sell Robbie Keane to Sunderland for £9million. Keane only returned to Spurs from Liverpool 12 months ago but manager Harry Redknapp has wanted to sell him since last summer and has accepted the Black Cats' offer. Black Cats boss Steve Bruce made his offer on Friday and saw it accepted after Spurs completed a deal to bring in Eidur Gudjohnsen on loan from Monaco. The Tottenham boss claimed earlier in the transfer window that he was not ready to let his captain leave White Hart Lane but changed his mind after signing Gudjohnsen from under the noses of rivals West Ham.

Hull block Wolves Hunt

Mick McCarthy has seen a third and final offer of £4million for Hull winger Stephen Hunt rejected. Wolves boss McCarthy made a last-ditch attempt to land the Republic of Ireland international but the bid was turned down by the Tigers. Hull chairman Adam Pearson said: "We have had another offer from Wolves for Stephen which has been rejected. "Stephen will be staying at Hull and that is the end of the matter as far as we are concerned."

Owen fails to impress Fergie

Manchester United will look to offload Michael Owen at the end of the season. The former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle striker has failed to impress since moving to Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer. And Sir Alex Ferguson will not stand in Owen’s way if he can find a club willing to offer him more playing opportunities. Owen has scored just seven goals in 26 appearances for United, although he has made just 10 starts.

Wigan win Moses race

Wigan look to have won the race for Crystal Palace's much-touted striker Victor Moses with a £2.5 million bid. Wigan manager Roberto Martinez and the prospect of Premier League football have apparently been enough to convince Moses to join Wigan rather than Championship suitors West Bromwich, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest. Palace manager Neil Warnock said: 'I think it's done. Victor is going to the Premier League and £2.5m is a snip for one of the best young players we've got.'
