West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola has been offered an emergency deal for Chelsea flop Mateja Kezman. Kezman, 30, is now with Paris Saint Germain but the French club are looking to offload the Serbian striker. Ex-Chelsea forward Kezman has been on loan at Zenit St Petersburg but the Russian club do not want to buy him permanently.

Roma have joined the race to sign £5million-rated Crystal Palace starlet Victor Moses. The Selhurst Park club have resigned themselves to losing the 19-year-old in next month’s transfer window to help ease the club’s crippling debts. And the Serie A side are the latest to register an interest in the talented forward – who scored an outstanding overhead kick in Palace’s 1-1 draw against Barnsley on Saturday.

Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan will test Leeds’ resolve to hold on to Jermaine Beckford during the January transfer window. Boro have been closely watching Beckford, who has scored 69 goals in the last two and a half seasons – and they can offer him a short-cut to Championship football. The former Wealdstone hitman, whose contract expires at the end of the season, fell out publicly with Simon Grayson by refusing to shake the Leeds manager’s hand on being substituted 15 minutes from the end against Southampton at the weekend.

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce wants to take James Beattie back to the club – by offering Jason Roberts to Stoke in a swap deal. Allardyce is willing to take a gamble on Beattie, who has fallen out of favour with Tony Pulis after their dressing room row, but he needs to do an exchange as he does not have cash. Beattie would jump at a Rovers return as he feels wronged in the Pulis affair, but the Potters want to recoup some of the £3.5 million they spent. Allardyce, meanwhile. is prepared to throw experienced Roberts into the equation.

Spurs are ready to sell Robbie Keane to Celtic – but want the Scottish club’s keeper Artur Boruc as part of the deal. Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is willing to offload striker Keane, 29, next month. And Celtic have already put wheels in motion to bring the Republic of Ireland forward to the SPL. Spurs only brought Keane back from Liverpool in January for £12million after his ill-fated move to Anfield.
