Tottenham completed the signing of PSV Eindhoven's South Korea defender Lee Young-Pyo on transfer deadline day in August 2005.
It is reported that Tottenham Hotspur have paid around 2 million Euros for Lee, who becomes the second South Korean player to move to the Premiership after former PSV Eindhoven team mate Park Ji-Sung joined Manchester United in June.
Martin Jol said: "He's played in the Champions League and is the best left-back in Holland. A number of Italian clubs would have liked to have taken him. He is an attacking full-back and is a big star in Korea having achieved so much success in Europe."
"I am very happy he is coming to Spurs and very proud of it. Like Edgar Davids he has made the decision to come to Spurs and it is a big thing for the club."
He proved to be one of many summer signings at Spurs over the summer of 2005 and provided the team with added depth and strength during his thirty-two appearances in the 05/06 season.
This fine form continued in the 2006/07 season as he made 31 appearances all in all.
