Vedran Corluka

Towering Croatian defender Vedran Corluka signed for Manchester City in August 2007 from Dinamo Zagreb, the club he joined as a child and made around 60 appearances for either side of a loan move to Inter Zapresic.

His first season at Eastlands was a highly successful one as he impressed immediately and became a first-team regular. He was also a member of the Croatia squad which made it to the quarter-finals of Euro 2008.

After the tournament, he was strongly linked with a move away from Eastlands, and in September 2008 he joined Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.
