Pascal Chimbonda
Position: Defence
Height: 6'0
Weight: 11st 11lbs
Date of Birth: 1979-02-21 Les Abymes, Guadeloupe

French defender Pascal Chimbonda signed for Wigan in July 2005 from Bastia, having rejected a move to Marseille.
Chimbonda was born in the Guadeloupe area of France and started his professional career at Le Havre, before moving to Bastia where he played at right full back and centre half.
He was an integral part of the Wigan side which performed so well in the Barclays Premiership in the 2005/06 season. He made forty-three appearances, but caused controversey when he handed in a transfer request to boss Paul Jewell on the final day of that campaign.
On deadline day in August 2006, he finally left Wigan, joining Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.
His first season at White Hart Lane was deeply impressive as he played fifty games and scored once.
He will be hoping to continue this fine form in 2007/08.
