Heurelho Gomes

Brazilian goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes began his career with Cruzeiro, but moved to Europe in 2004 when PSV Eindhoven signed him. He soon became a fans' favourite at PSV for his reliable performances and flamboyant antics.

He caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur boss Juande Ramos with a lively performance against them in the UEFA Cup, playing an important role as PSV knocked Spurs out in March 2008. Three months later, Gomes moved to White Hart Lane as a replacement for Paul Robinson.
