In January 2007 Tottenham Hotspur agreed a deal with French side Lens to bring teenage midfielder Adel Taarabt to White Hart Lane on loan.

The 17-year-old is a promising prospect for the future having appeared twice in his first half-season at White Hart Lane. The loan deal was made permanent in June 2007.
