Tottenham Hotspur agreed a fee with Leeds United for the signing of promising midfielder Aaron Lennon in July 2005.

Lennon became the youngest Premiership player in August 2003, after coming off the bench for the visitors at Tottenham Hotspur, aged just 16 years and 129 days.

He went on to make nearly 50 first-team appearances for United, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3-2 win at Sunderland in December 2004.

His first season at White Hart Lane was a huge success as he became a regular in Martin Jol's side, playing twenty-nine games and scoring twice.

This led to him being named as a part of Sven Goran Eriksson's World Cup squad. Although he never started, he did make a few notable appearances as a substitute.

His fine form continued into 2006/07 as he scored five goals in 35 starts. He is now a vital part of Martin Jol's team.
