Spurs set sights on Eto'o

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with am ambitious summer raid on Barcelona to lure striker Samuel Eto'o to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old Cameroon international would cost the north London club a reported £30million.

Spurs head coach Juande Ramos has already seen his squad bolstered by the £15million arrival of Croatia international Luka Modric, but has now made Eto'o his main summer priority according to reports in both Spain and England.

The former Real Madrid and Real Mallorca hitman has scored more than 75 goals during four seasons at the Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Robbie Keane has challenged his team-mates to end a season that has petered out in recent weeks on a high when they take on Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The Republic of Ireland striker past last season's haul of 22 goals with the winner against Reading last weekend.

"I always say it's important to beat what you did last season and I've been lucky enough to do that for most seasons at Tottenham," he told the club's official website.

"From a personal point of view I'm delighted with that, but the most important thing was to win, especially for the fans who come to watch us week in, week out.

"We want to finish the season well. We've drawn too many games of late and it's important to get good results before the end of the season."
